What is a Mojito?
Mojito is an alcoholic cocktail of traditional Cuban origin. It began to be used as a medicinal tonic in the 16th century.
It has been popular in the USA since the late 1980s, the Mojito is now a popular cocktail all over the world. The mojito is traditionally made with five ingredients: rum, sugar, lime, soda and mint.
What Is the Best Rum for Mojitos?
Mojito is one of my favorite rum cocktails. It is traditionally made with white rum, sugar, limes, mint and soda. Avoid using spiced rum as an alternative to white rum. Spices can reduce the freshness and flavor of mint and lemon. Some of the best white rum brands are Bacardi Silver Rum, Appleton White Rum, Havana Club Anejo Blanco Rum etc.
How To Make Mojito Without A Cocktail Shaker?
If you don't have a cocktail shaker to prepare a mojito cocktail, you can use a muddler. First of all, prepare the materials. In a highball glass, add sugar, mint leaves and some soda. Stir the ingredients with the stir stick to increase the mint flavor and dissolve the sugar. Then squeeze 2 half-lime lemons into the glass. Add the rum and mix the ingredients well. Add ice cubes to the glass. Add the remaining soda on top. Serve with mint sprigs and lime wedges.
