  1. Rinse the mushrooms under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel. Cut off the stems of the mushrooms and slice the mushrooms ½ inch thick.
  2. In a bowl, marinade mushrooms with olive oil, lemon juice, and taco seasoning.
  3. Chop the red onions and garlic.
  4. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic.
  5. Then turn on the stove. Cook the mushrooms over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Warm the tortillas in the pan.
  7. Add some mushroom filling, guacamole, salsa, or whatever toppings you like inside each warm tortilla.
  8. Serve them with lime wedges.

Tips

  • You can use any type of mushroom. Portobello mushrooms, cremini mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, or oyster mushrooms are ideal for making mushroom tacos.
  • Rinse the mushrooms. Gently clean the dirt on it.
